Introducing the Webascent Toolbox
One of the corner stones of the Webascent concept, is an easy to use (no really!) tool that lets you manage text and images on your web site, with only minimal computer skills. These types of tools are called Content Management Systems (or CMS for short) and are usually fairly complex to both set up and use/maintain — a quick Google search on CMS should make your head swim (if you're not a complete geek!).
The Webascent CMS is called The Toolbox, and has been designed to be as simple as possible to use and maintain. Instead of trying to explain all the details of why we think our Toolbox is simpler and easier for the average user, we've set up a demonstration site, called The Cork Oak Restaurant.

The Cork Oak is an imaginary restaurant, located in the south of Spain. Its sole purpose is to provide a place to try out the Toolbox — changing its text and images.
Before you give the Toolbox Demo a try.
A couple of things you should know before jumping in and giving the Demo a try:
- The Webascent Toolbox currently only works with:
- Firefox 3
- Safari 3 (& 4 Beta)
- Google's Chrome - When you Publish changes, they are not saved (to keep things from being changed permanently).
How the Toolbox works
Once you've navigated to the front page of The Cork Oak, you will see it gives you some simple directions as to how to log into the Toolbox. You simply scroll down to the bottom of any of the site's pages and click on the small *Spade* icon, to open the Toolbox's main window (as pictured to the right here).
Once the Toolbox's main window has opened and loaded (may take a few moments, depending on the speed of your connection), just enter the user name and password, and you're ready to give the Toolbox a try-out.
- User name: cork
- Password: oak

Where to go from here
Once you've successfully logged into the Toolbox (remember, don't use Internet Explorer!), you can simply add, remove and edit text & images.
